Fall Concert Season

October is Fall Concert Season here in Bedford!

On Thursday, you will get a chance to hear the Bedford Choirs under the direction of Mrs. Glover! We are excited to have her join our Music Department. Some of our students have previous experience working with her in other community productions in Monroe County. You won’t want to miss their performance on Thursday night, October 20th starting at 7 pm in the BHS Auditorium! Chances are high that you will leave signing, “This is Halloween! This is Halloween…”

Next week, the sounds of strings will fill the Auditorium on Tuesday, Oct. 25th as our Orchestras take to the stage at 7 pm. These talented musicians will be led by our new Orchestra Director, Mr. Bill McDevitt. He has been a member of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra since 1999. Rather than playing the upright bass, he will be wielding the conductor’s baton as he leads the students through their pieces, including “Haunted Carousel” by Soon Hee Newbold. The students will be in costume for the concert, too!

The high school bands will gather for Band-O-Rama on Wednesday the 26th at 7 pm in the Competitive Gym. The Kicking Mules Marching Band always makes a dramatic entrance! They are fresh off of their SUPERIOR Marching Band Festival performance! The streak for our Band Directors, Mr. Meggitt and Mr. Glover, continues!

All of these concerts are free and open to the public. We hope you can join us and enjoy the talents of these students!
