INTERESTED IN JOINING ROBOTICS FOR THE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR?
Bedford Public Schools has a strong K-12 robotics program. At the elementary, there are 2 levels that students can participate in. The junior high school had 3 teams make it to the state competition this year in the FIRST Tech Challenge. The high school team is celebrating their 20th year, has won numerous awards and made many trips to the world championship. This year they were semifinalists in the Galileo Division at the World Championship in Houston!

FIRST LEGO LEAGUE EXPLORE
For kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade.
Build with Lego and learn to write a simple program to make the creation move!
FIRST LEGO LEAGUE CHALLENGE
For kids in 4th and 5th grade.
Build game elements and a robot from Legos and learn to write multiple programs to complete many tasks in a 2 1/2 minute competition.
FIRST TECH CHALLENGE
For kids in 6th-8th grade.
Students learn CAD, create 3D printed items, and design and build a robot (out of mostly metal parts) and program it to score as many points as possible in a 2 1/2 minute competition.
FIRST ROBOTICS COMPETITION
For high school students
The team will design, build and program a complex, industrial-size robot to play a difficult field game and learn real-world engineering skills in the process.
HOW TO SIGN UP FOR GRADES K-8
Registration is now open for the Fall 2022 Robotics season.
Don’t delay in registering! Space is limited. Early bird discounted cost is $55 per child by June 1. Beginning June 2, cost increases to $75 per child.
