Please join us in celebrating two well deserved promotions. On Sunday Aaron Oetjens and Brent Cathey were promoted to Captains.
Captain Oetjens is a seasoned veteran with the Monroe Police force having worked on the Road Patrol, City Vice and in the Detective Bureau. Oetjens also was a field training officer, is a Public Safety Officer and still serves on the Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team. Captain Oetjens will work as a Patrol Captain assisting with the daily functions of the department.
Captain Cathey is also a veteran with the force having worked road patrol and more recently was a Narcotics Detective. Captain Cathey is a Public Safety Officer and he previously worked as a Field Training Officer.
Director Tolstedt met with both newly promoted Captains this last week to congratulate them.
