Dundee Village recently issued the following announcement.
They say all good things must come to an end....and while this doesn't mean that it ends here, but the Village of Dundee is announcing a deadline of Thursday, January 20, 2022 for accepting any more donations for our homeless cancer patient. She is working with hospital social workers as well as other other public and private assistance providers so that she and her son (and their dog) can transition back to more permanent housing.
The Village of Dundee wants to acknowledge our office staff who have been collecting notes, cards, and counting money, and gift cards daily and providing them to the police department to deliver to our cancer patient several times per week.
She is extremely humbled and grateful to the Dundee community and the surrounding areas for all that has been done for her and her son. The thousands of dollars in cash donations and gift cards, as well as the donated hotel room, which has provided a warm shelter to rest and prepare for the next step in their journey.
We want to thank everyone that has helped. You all have truly made a difference!
