Monroe Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan 13.

Please welcome our newest officer, Officer Brianna Berge. Officer Berge is a 2012 graduate of Airport Community Schools and Summit Academy. In 2013, she joined the Army (GoArmy) where she served for 6 years. During her time in the service, she was deployed to Afghanistan. Upon being discharged, she finished her degree from Oakland Community College (Official) and enrolled in the Oakland Police Academy, then the Oakland Fire Academy, where she obtained Fire I and II certification, MFR, as well as MCOLES licensure. Upon completion of her training, she began working for Berkley Department of Public Safety, where she was employed for 2 years. 

Officer Berge enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing and snowboarding. Officer Berge is excited to be here and took her Oath of Office on last Month by City of Monroe Clerk LaVoy. Please join us in welcoming Officer Berge to the MPD Family.
