Dundee Village issued the following announcement on Jan 4.
Nearly 20 envelopes of donations for our homeless cancer victim have been dropped off or mailed in so far and will be delivered to our adopted family today. $1485 in cash and $120 in gift cards along with other donation offers (clothing and food) which is being delivered to the family as we write this update
Hospital social workers are attempting to find additional help in Ann Arbor with hotel vouchers and other assistance.
Thank you to everyone from Dundee and the region who have offered donations or other assistance for the cause. This has been a remarkable and heartfelt journey
The family is overwhelmed with the kindness. Although she is a very shy and private person, she is extremely grateful for the assistance to help her, her son and their dog.
We have been touched by the support that our community has provided in a time of need. Dundee is an amazing place made even better by extraordinary people! Thank you all
