Dundee Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec 10.
The Dundee Police Department responded to a traffic crash involving a school bus from Dundee Community Schools at 7:05 this morning on Main St. near Railroad St.
The investigation revealed that the school bus was traveling westbound on Stowell at Main and had stopped at the railroad crossing for a train. A westbound passenger vehicle driven by a 17-year old driver then collided into the rear of the school bus. The passenger car driver admitted to driving while distracted and was cited for careless driving.
In addition to the bus driver, there were 17 students on board. No injuries were reported in either vehicle.
