Monroe County I.S.D. Board of Education Names Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources & Legal Services
At its September meeting, the Monroe County Intermediate School District Board of Education has named Eric Feldman, JD, as the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Legal Services at the Monroe County Intermediate School District. Mr. Feldman is currently an Administrative Law Judge at the Michigan Office of Administrative Hearings and Rules, Lansing, MI.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Feldman held a paralegal specialist position with the Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Protection, Detroit, MI.
Mr. Feldman earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit in 2010.
As the assistant superintendent for human resources and legal services, Eric will provide leadership and overall direction for all human resource functions, including recruitment, hiring and orientation of staff, staff assignments and transfers, layoff/recalls and termination. As well as compensation, benefits, employee discipline and will serve as the district's chief negotiator for all employee labor agreements. Mr. Feldman will also be available to provide the ISD and local district administrators with sound personnel advice and counsel.
Mr. Feldman began in the district on October 4, 2021
