As we approach the upcoming November 2 election, we once again be sharing the most frequently asked election questions received by our City Clerk's Office.
Can I vote for City Council candidates running outside of my precinct of residence?
YES! Residents can vote for one representative from each precinct across the city, and are not limited to voting only for those running in their precinct of residence. The City of Monroe is divided into 7 precincts and all seats are up for re-election with each voting cycle. Elected officials are limited to a two year term.
