On Friday September 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT)shut down both northbound and southbound lanes of US-23. MDOT did not designated a detour route.
Dundee Police and Milan Police are attempting to assist in the safe travel of motorist traveling both N/B and S/B by recommending detour routes.
Following are the recommended detour routes:
N/B US-23 - Exit at M-50 Dundee. Turn right (E/B) on M-50 and take an immediate left (N/B) onto N. Ann Arbor Rd. Turn right (E/B) onto Ostrander Rd. and turn left (N/B) onto Plank Rd.
Follow Plank Rd to the N/B US-23 Exit in Milan.
S/B US-23 – Exit at Plank Rd. in Milan. Turn right (S/B) onto Plank Rd. Turn right (W/B) onto Ostrander Rd. Turn right (N/B) at Ann Arbor Rd. Turn left (W/B) at Cone Rd. and exit onto the
S/B exit to US-23 at Cone Rd.
