City of Monroe recently issued the following announcement.
Department of Public Service crews have been out since yesterday afternoon working on clearing roadways of downed trees from the recent storm. As of now, all trees blocking roadways have been cleared, with the exceptions of those closed due to DTE Energy power situations.
Staff will be going neighborhood by neighborhood to remove and chip remaining large limbs that are in the terrace. Please be patient as this process will take several days to complete.
Traffic lights are still out at some intersections - North Monroe Street at Elm Avenue, in particular. Please be careful and particularly observant driving around town.
A big thanks to all our residents that have lent a hand in the ongoing cleanup.
Questions contact the department of public service at 734.384.9125.
As a reminder, power outages and downed lines should be reported directly to DTE Energy. 1.800.477.4747.
