City Hall is without power

City of Luna Pier recently issued the following announcement.

Like many residents in Luna Pier, City Hall is without power. With no phones, internet or power, the office will be closed for now but the drop box is in place for documents and the police department is working with an officer on duty. For now you can message us on Facebook, or send an email which we will monitor remotely.

Saturday is the latest guess as to when power will be restored fully to the city but that certainly could change for the better or worse. Not all of the city is without power. If you need emergency relief from the heat, you can call the Consumers Energy at 2-1-1 for a list of resources.

Check on your neighbors and message us through Facebook and we will do our best to help. Be safe with the generators and keep them outside being mindful of the carbon monoxide risk.

Our inside sources at Consumers Energy agree with the public announcements which is currently early Saturday morning, 8/14 before power is expected to be restored. Stay safe and help keep your neighbors safe which Luna Pier has always excelled at.

Thank you!
