The City of Monroe, Michigan issued the following announcement on Nov. 24.
Effective TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2020, City Hall will remain open by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please note, we will not be closed, but access to the public will be limited to scheduled appointments only. No walk-ins will be accepted.
These changes were implemented as a preventative measure taking into account possible COVID-19 infections rising during the upcoming holiday, and will remain in effect until Monday, December 7th, or until further notice depending on community spread. This decision was not made lightly, and takes into consideration the health and safety of our staff, residents, and visitors.
