MONROE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE: MCCC Partners with Northwood University to Offer Free, Career-Related Workshops

Monroe County Community College issued the following announcement on Oct. 30.

Monroe County Community College’s Office of Workforce Development is partnering with Northwood University to bring two free, career-related workshops to its students and community in November.

Both are interactive, virtual workshops and open to the public.

The first, "Resume, Interview Tips and Elevator Speeches," will offer the best interview tips, resume adjustments, and elevator pitch ideas for 2021. It will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. The virtual meeting link is https://bluejeans.com/121346207?src=calendarLink.

The second, "Insider Tips to Create a LinkedIn Profile that Will Get You Noticed" is a workshop to help individuals keep their careers moving and gain the attention of recruiters and employers. It will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. The virtual meeting link: https://bluejeans.com/534099710?src=calendarLink.

"Both workshops will be led by industry professionals and hiring managers who know what it takes to get people hired into the jobs of their dreams," said Barry Kinsey, director of workforce development at MCCC.

There is no need to register ahead of the scheduled workshops. Participants can simply join via the link several minutes prior to the scheduled start.
