In wrapping up our Halloween themed activities, last week Ms. Garrison’s class did their shared reading lessons with the book Big Pumpkin by Erica Silverman!
In the story, the Witch really wants to make pumpkin pie for Halloween but cannot get the big pumpkin off the vine. Her monster friends come to help, and the Witch shares her pumpkin pie with everyone!
The class decided to taste their own pumpkin pie, and everyone loved it! They used descriptive words to describe their big pumpkin in their predictable chart writing too. They had so much fun! We hope you all had a Happy Halloween!!!
