Banned Books Week

Banned Books Week

As we wrap Banned Books Week remember that stories unite us. Here is the tenth most challenged book of 2021. Libraries transform because librarians stand up for your right to read! Yay for books! Yay for libraries!

"Reading books that are “controversial” offers a unique opportunity to see the world through a viewpoint other than your own. It provides the chance to better understand differing thought processes, even if you don’t agree with them. Banned and challenged books may include uncomfortable or foreign experiences than what you’re used to but it allows you to learn about those situations through the words of authors who may not look or think exactly like you."
