Every year we celebrate the transitions. The kindergarteners finish their first year of school and are excited to move to a first grade classroom down the hall in September. The 5th graders make a big change with the jump to the junior high school. The eighth graders will just be moving next door to begin their high school adventure. Our graduates have so many options to choose from as they begin their journey into adulthood.
But we also have staff members joining the ranks of the retired to celebrate! Over the past year, these are the staff members who have already retired or will soon be making that change with the end of the school year:

These 14 people have accumulated a total of 306 years of combined service to the children of our community. Think about how many kids they may have interacted with during all of those years! Maybe it is a smaller number with a specialized service that creates strong bonds in that time. Maybe they had that continued presence of someone that sees the students year after year in their roles. Maybe it was one class all day, or a new set of faces coming in each hour. Regardless of the role, we are grateful for all the things, big and little, that these people did each day to make a positive impression in the lives of so many of our students.
Thank you so much for being a part of our lives, too. You will be missed. We wish you all the best in whatever direction your future adventures take you!
