Monroe County Community College issued the following announcement on Dec. 8.
In response to Governor Whitmer's recent "pause" order, 100 percent of MCCC instruction will continue to be delivered remotely online and/or in blended formats with virtual meetings until the end of the Fall Semester, Dr. Grace Yackee, vice president of instruction, has announced.
The last day of MCCC's Fall Semester is Dec. 14.
Per a Nov 15 Department of Health and Human Services Emergency Order, MCCC had already transitioned in-person classes to remote instruction from Nov 18
through Dec. 8. This latest development extends all-remote instruction through the end of the semester.
All students should pay close attention to further instruction from faculty and monitor their MCCC email account for additional information from the college.
There is potential that some health program classes could continue with face-to-face meetings on campus, Yackee said. Students in health programs should also pay attention to further instruction from faculty.
