MONROE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE: MCCC Offering Popular Electrical Apprenticeship -- Level 1 Training Program This Winter Registration Now Open -- Classes Begin Jan. 4, 2021

Monroe County Community College issued the following announcement on Dec. 1.

Due to high demand, Monroe County Community College, the Associated Builders and Contractors of Southeast Michigan and Southeast Michigan Construction Academy are once again offering the Electrical Apprenticeship – Level 1 training program beginning Monday, Jan. 4, 2021 through July 2021.

Classes will meet on Monday and Wednesday from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on the Main Campus of MCCC, 1555 South Raisinville Road, Monroe, MI. Winter tuition is $2,200, including books. Summer tuition is $1,600, including books. Early registration is highly recommended. Call 734-384-4229 for more information.

This course is a repeat of the very popular Electrical Apprenticeship – Level 1 class offered this past fall semester.

Successful students will have the opportunity to begin Electrical Apprenticeship – Level 2 in September 2021.

Students must be 18 or older with a high school diploma/GED to apply. Students must also provide copies of their driver’s license, Social Security card and high school diploma/GED.

Students will have the opportunity to interview with electrical contractors located in Southeast Michigan for positions as they become available. Employment is not guaranteed or required to attend this training. The Southeast Michigan Construction Academy will work with students who would like to be employed in the electrical field.
