Rep. Jamie Thompson, a member of the Michigan House of Representatives, used her social media platform on October 11, 2025 to voice concerns about a proposal before the State Board of Education.

In a post at 13:56 UTC, Rep. Thompson wrote, ".@MI_Republicans I urge the State Board of Education to withdraw this proposal and respect boundaries established by the Constitution and Revised School Code. I call upon the Legislature to restore proper checks and balances through oversight, and if necessary legislative action".

A minute later, she tagged several organizations in another post that included a link: ".@MI_Republicans @Th_Midwesterner @MIForward_Net https://t.co/3xDyqqRQ9v".

Later that afternoon at 16:21 UTC, Rep. Thompson posted another link without additional comment: "https://t.co/NtT3BmtvX2".

Rep. Jamie Thompson serves as a state representative in Michigan’s legislature. The Revised School Code referenced in her statement sets forth legal standards for education governance within Michigan. The State Board of Education is responsible for general supervision over all public education in Michigan but must operate within boundaries set by both the state constitution and statutes.
