State Rep. James DeSana (R-Carleton) has initiated a survey to gather input from Michigan residents about whether the state should ban foreign governments from providing funding to its universities.

“Michigan should never become a target for foreign influence,” DeSana said. “The University of Michigan has accepted $76 million from the Chinese government, and that raises serious national security concerns. I want to hear directly from the people of Michigan about how we can best protect our state from threats like Communist China.”
