On June 20, Rep. Thompson expressed gratitude towards Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and John James for hosting a Secure Our Northern Border Roundtable in Detroit. She stated "Great point- WAYNE COUNTY does have the highest # of CPL holders in Michigan. Which is why it blows me away that they allow Democrats to continue in infringe on our 2nd Amendment Right to carry and defend ourselves." advocating for constitutional carry laws in Michigan.
