Representative Jamie Thompson recently shared a series of thoughts and experiences via Twitter, covering both community involvement and historic preservation. Below are the highlights of these posts, which reflect her engagement with local enterprises and historical sites.

On April 28, Rep. Thompson expressed gratitude for a visit to West Side Beer Distributing in Romulus. In her tweet, she stated, "Thank you West Side Beer Distributing in Romulus for allowing Rep Liberati and I to have a tour- it was Awesome. Great company that does great things for the community as well! West Side Beer Distributing." Her comments underscore the importance of community involvement by local businesses.

The following day, April 29, Thompson highlighted the significance of the Flat Rock Dam in upholding community spirit. She mentioned a centenarian from the community, Mr. Smalley, who has a vested interest in the dam's preservation, relating his lifelong connection to Flat Rock. Her tweet read, "The Flat Rock Dam is a shining testament to the unwavering community spirit that uplifts and inspires everyone who's grown up or lived around here. There is no Flat Rock without the Dam. Mr Smalley is 101 yrs old and graduated from FRHS IN 1945- His wish is to preserve the Dam!"

In a brief subsequent tweet on the same day, she simply declared, "Truth", adding an enigmatic touch to her postings.

Mr. Justin Smalley, aged 101, is noted for his historical connection to the Flat Rock Dam and his wish to see it preserved.
