Census Bureau: 78.6% of people in Monroe County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 154,068 citizens living in Monroe County in 2021, 78.6% were old enough to vote, equating to 121,061 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 59,762 were male, constituting 49.4%, and 61,299 were female, making up 50.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Monroe County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 78.2%.
