Monroe Public Schools and Monroe Trojan Athletics is excited to announce the appointment of David Mifsud as the head coach of the Monroe Trojan Football program.
MPS is pleased to welcome a coach with the experience that Coach Mifsud will bring to Monroe. His most recent position was head football coach at Genoa High School, Ohio. Previous experience has included 16 years at Dearborn High School where he was the winningest coach in Dearborn High history. He then spent eight years at Parma Western High School. Coach Mifsud's programs have amassed 156 wins and qualified for playoff competition on 17 occasions in his 25 years coaching. Coach Mifsud has been named Regional Coach of the year five times; 2001, 2004, 2006, 2010, and 2018. In addition to football, he has also served as head coach in boys varsity basketball, varsity track & field, and middle school swim.
With an MA from Eastern Michigan University, Coach Mifsud will also be an asset joining the teaching staff at Monroe High School.
