DRIVE SOBER OR GET PULLED OVER

Dundee Police Department recently issued the following announcement.

There have been 1,130 traffic crash deaths on Michigan roadways so far during 2021.  This total already surpasses last year's 1,075 deaths.  We join everyone in hoping that this number resets to zero at midnight with no additional casualties.

Tonight starts the holiday weekend in which there may be MANY reasons to celebrate the new year or a football victory.  However there are ZERO reasons to drink and drive.  So please:  Appoint a sober driver; Call Lyft, Uber or a cab; Call a friend or family member; Or just stay where you are.  If you choose to drink and drive the consequences could be costly.

The Dundee Police Department joins the Michigan State Police, Monroe County Sheriff and other law enforcement agencies throughout the state to ensure a safe New Year on the roadways this weekend.

Have a safe and enjoyable New Year!
