Monroe High School recently issued the following announcement.
Pumpkin delivery complete! Thanks to everyone that helped us get the pumpkins carved and delivered today to the residents of Fountainview of Monroe!
The Fountainview residents were super excited to see us and waved at us through the windows as we delivered the pumpkins which will be used to decorate their Halloween party tomorrow.
So very proud of our students who volunteered their time and talents to help make this happen! Special thanks to the staff that donated towards carving supplies, Senior Class Advisor - Mrs. Rebecca Molenda, and the folks that donated our pumpkins - Dr. Flora Gootee of Monroe, Sally Goetz of Goetz Family Farm in Riga, MI, and Blocks Greenhouse and Stands in Romulus, MI, Mrs. Dana Towler, and Mr. Tom Hawley from the Monroe Evening News, as well as the many individuals that purchased and carved pumpkins just to help us out!
Thanks to our student groups - Student Council - Mr. Jeremy Kimberlin, Positive Peer Influence - Mrs. Carol Anteau, Interact - Mrs. Sue Jones, HOSA - Mrs. Kari Arnold and Mrs. Stevie Cousino, Early Middle College - Mrs. Kayla Brittson, National Honor Society - Mr. Matt Steele.
