Town of Bedford issued the following announcement on Aug 6.

SEEKING MEMBERS FOR THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT ADVISORY COMMITTEE.

On March 11, 2021 the American Rescue Plan Act was established because of Covid-19. Bedford Township is estimated to receive approximately 3.3 million dollars from this fund. The purpose of the Committee is to gain input from the residents on what they would like to see for Bedford Township. The funds are restricted and cannot be used for just anything. This is a non-paid committee that will meet during business hours. Once all funds have been earmarked the committee will be dissolved.

To apply for this committee, you will need to submit an application to the Clerk’s department no later than 5:00 p.m., August 31, 2021 (at the Township Government Center, 8100 Jackman Road, Temperance).  Applications are available on line at www.bedfordmi.org or in the Clerk’s office.
