A state senator is encouraging residents following the "Stay home. Stay safe. Stay healthy" campaign to take advantage of virtual education programs and day trips to explore the state.
Sen. Dale Zorn (R-Ida) touted one such opportunity on his Facebook page in an April 4 post highlighting the Michigan Science Center.
"Looking for something fun and educational to do while we’re all staying safe at home?" he said. "A virtual tour of the Michigan Science Center is just a click away."
He linked to a Michigan Science website. The website has virtual tours of the museum for families to experience the facility from the comfort of their homes.
Virtual visitors can see a 3D-views supported by Google. They can remotely explore the Lunar Dining & Spa Gallery, Health & Wellness Gallery, Chrysler Science Stage, Dassault System Planetarium, Toyota Engineer 4D Theater, or Atrium.
The science center also offers ECHOLive, a distance-learning program, weekdays at 2:30 p.m.
