City of Monroe issued the following announcement on Nov 24.
Enjoy a spectacular Christmas light display nightly in Childers Park! We'll kick off the celebration with our Bikes, Trikes, & Magical Lights Parade on November 21st at 6:00 pm then the display will be open for you to enjoy each evening through December 31st. Admission is free so come as often as you'd like. This is sure to be a Christmas memory to treasure for years to come. While you're in town, stroll the beautiful streets of downtown to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list and cozy up in one of our amazing restaurants for a delicious meal. Check out our Candlelight Shopping dates for extended shopping hours and more great activities in Downtown! Parking is available behind the Monroe Walton County Library located at 217 W. Spring Street.
