Rep. Jamie Thompson, a member of the Michigan House of Representatives, made several posts on her social media account in early August 2025, addressing topics ranging from state government to healthcare decisions for parents.

On August 10, 2025, Rep. Thompson questioned recent developments within Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s administration by posting: “Whitmer’s staff lawyers up? Interesting… https://t.co/8ETkm6MYsC”.

Later that same day, she addressed parental rights in healthcare decisions with the statement: “If you are a parent and your child’s pediatrician shames you or refuses to take “No Thank you “ for an answer when asked about vaccinating your child- Immediately find a new Doctor! https://t.co/cn3fwCNItc”.
